Vörulýsing
The UJK Slab Flattening Jig is the solution for the challenge of planing large live edge slab tabletops. With the UJK Slab Jig paired with a 1/2″ router, you can effortlessly and accurately flatten roughly sawn, uneven boards without the need for bulky machinery. No longer do you need to struggle with the lack of width of the thickness planer or labour intensive, uneven belt sanders.
The UJK Slab Jig caters to projects of grand scale, making it ideal for any space in need of handling oversized workpieces. Whether you’re surfacing large roughly sawn slabs or preparing thick edge boards for countertops or river tables, this jig transforms your router into an overhead milling machine. Equipped with a brush dust collection outlet, uniquely designed by UJK, offering two different lengths of waste brushes, helping contain the inevitable large amount of waste produced from planning.
The versatility of the Slab Jig doesn’t stop there. Transforming seamlessly into a Tenon Jig using bench dogs, it allows you to craft multiple precise tenons, even tackling notoriously challenging long tenons with ease. With the inclusion of four traverse stops along with the use of a V Groove or Bull Nose router cutter, you can create decorative door panels without the need for scribing corner joints and reducing costs without compromising aesthetics.
When not in use, the UJK Slab Jig conveniently stores away, ideal for small or busy workshops.
Customer will need to mount the jig to a flat piece of ply or MDF for a base board, along with 2 wooden rails (2″ x 2″). The carriage has 3 working positions, wide, mid and narrow, select the position best suited to the size of board you wish to flatten most often.
Wide position – max board 1,170 x 578mm
Mid position – max board 1,170 x 515mm
Narrow position – max board 1,170 x 415mm
NB- The traverse stops must be used when the long rails are in the mid and narrow positions to stop the cutter from contacting the long rails.
