Axminster Woodturning M2 Cryo Tool Set 6

This set is perfect for anyone who is looking to enhance their woodturning. The set comprises 6 turning tools. The blades are M2 high speed steel that have been cryogenically treated. This ensures that the edge lasts 5 times longer than typical high speed steel. Perfect for use on various wood types, including green and oily wood. The blades are fitted to well-shaped, Ash wood handles that provide a strong and sturdy grip. Supplied in a case for handy storage.

The set comprises:

19mm (3/4") spindle roughing gouge - for removing the corners of square stock and to reduce the size of the blank.

19mm (3/4") skew chisel - for planing cuts, trimming end grain, vee and finishing cuts, this chisel has rounded edges to help when cutting beads. It is also useful for cleaning up the surface left by the roughing gouge.

12.7mm (1/2") spindle gouge - useful for spindle work, cutting coves and concave shapes.

3.2mm (1/8") parting tool - for parting work from the waste and cutting deep grooves when sizing.

9.5mm (3/8") bowl gouge - with a deep ‘U’ shaped flute both shaping the outside and inside of bowls or goblets. Also useful for sweeping curves and coves.

19mm (3/4") round nose scraper - used for removing tool marks and refining the shape of a bowl.

Overall length of tools is 320mm.
