This twin drum finishing sander has a compact footprint and is designed for finishing boards, panels and frames.

The sanding drums are aluminium, machined and dynamically balanced for smooth running. The drums are powered by a 1.5kW 230V. Being a twin drum machine, it uses a different grade of abrasives on each drum, coarse on the front, fine on the rear. The rear roller will require adjustment depending on the abrasive being used. A graduated scale for each side makes accurate setting an easy task. The abrasive is easy to change, requiring no tools. The access lid has a safety interlock switch.

A separate variable speed motor drives the conveyor, giving a wide range of feed speeds. A convenient crank handle and scale are provided for easy adjustment of thickness.

Dust extraction is via twin 100mm dust outlets, we recommend the use of a 2.2kW fine dust extractor as a minimum.

Machine supplied with two abrasive loadings (80 grit and 120 grit).

N.B. Drum sanders are used as part of the finishing process, they are not intended to be used as a planer/thicknesser or for significant stock removal. A drum sander does not replace a planer/thicknesser and vice versa. Drum sanders are intended to be used with already planed and thicknessed material. Overall a planer/thicknesser is meant to dimension timber, the drum sander to finish it.

N.B. This Machine requires a 16amp supply and it's recommended that a C Type breaker is used, if you are unsure please contact a qualified electrician.
