Get sharp and get even with the Tormek KJ-45 Centring Knife Jig. It works with both Tormek T‐4 and Tormek T‐8 machines, as well as older models.
Using the KJ-45 you can achieve symmetrical bevels with the same angle on both sides of your knife, regardless of the thickness or geometry of the blade. Whether you're sharpening a regular kitchen knife or a thick utility knife, you'll get the same results on both bevels of the knife without needing to reset the jig.
Restore the blade to its original edge angle or choose the angle you prefer. The jig rests freely onto the Universal Support so you can follow the curve of the bladel. The KJ-45 Centering Knife Jig fits most types of knives: household knives, chef's knives, craft knives and knives for hunting and fishing. It also works for carver's drawknives and gardener's pruning shears.
The KJ-45 features an extra stop for tall knives, such as cleavers. You can even put a slightly convex edge on a knife by moving between the two stops.
The KJ-45 takes knives with blades down to 60mm long and 12mm wide. For smaller knives, you can combine the knife jig with the SVM‐00 Small Knife Holder, which enables you to sharpen even your very smallest knives.
In common with all Tormek jigs the KJ-45 is robust with zinc‐cast clamps and fibreglass‐reinforced composite stops.
