This bandsaw packs a real punch with an unrivalled 350mm cutting depth.
Manufactured in thick gauge welded steel and cast iron to a very high standard.
The AP3086B is fitted with a key released emergency stop switch and interlocked doors for safe operation. There is a convenient tool and accessory storage cupboard in the lower half of the chassis. Plus, it comes fitted with a standard 3 pin plug, so you’re all ready to go.
The electro-magnetically braked motor is smooth and powerful. The AP3086B features balanced, cast iron wheels, heavy duty bearing blade guides and a very rigid, full size cast iron table with tilt adjustment from -5° to +45° on a rack and pinion mechanism for ease of adjustment.
Blade changing is done using a quick release blade tensioning lever, which greatly speeds up the process. The rip fence has a cast iron bracket and features a Hi/Lo fence rail for tall or thin work. A cam lock clamps the fence to the guide rail securely and a magnifying lens makes the scale easy to read. The mitre fence is a precision unit, fitted with an indexed position stop pin for easy and precise angle setting. Dust extraction is via 2 x 100mm ports, enabling dust-free use when connected to a suitable extractor.
This AP3086B is fully compliant with both the requirements of BS 4163:2014 (educational establishments) and PUWR98 (workplace) regulations.
Supplied with a 9.5mm x 6 tpi bandsaw blade.
