Medium sized carving tools offer greater control than full sized tools and are preferred by professionals when making intricate detailing cuts. These tools are made in Switzerland by Pfeil using their own special alloy chrome vanadium tool steel developed to give outstanding edge holding properties and a higher resilience to metal fatigue. The blades are mounted in octagonal solid ash handles that have a lightly oiled finish for a comfortable grip. Comprising the three most popular sizes of straight chisel, gouge and V-tool, this set is completed with a chip carving knife. Carving chisels all feature 85mm long blades with an overall length of 200mm and are supplied honed and ready for use.
